Shoe Pouch for Nike+iPod Sport Kit

Archive for the 'iPod News' Category

I was a little concerned that no mention was made of the Nike+iPod Sport Kit during today’s introduction of the new iPod nano (known as the “fatty” in some circles). Even Apple’s new iPod nano web page doesn’t mention Nike+iPod integration anywhere.
However, skip over to the redesigned Nike+iPod page an you’ll see how the [...]

Happy Shuffle Day

Apple’s marketing ability never ceases to amaze me. They announce the coolest product in the world, they sell millions of them, and just as demand starts to wane, they announce an upgrade that makes the old one seem dull by comparison. Today we saw this happen with the colorization of the iPod shuffle. Colors were [...]

A reader who has seen Nike’s Spring 2007 product catalog, which has been distributed to Nike retailers, confirmed the existence of the Nike+ watches… and adds some juicy new details.

With the Macworld Conference and Expo just around the corner, I’ve been looking for a good guide to the week’s events that I can carry with me as I push my way through the crowds. As luck would have it, I’ve found two free guides that are formatted for iPod. The Hess Events List and [...]

BusinessWeek has just posted a review of the Nike+iPod Sport Kit, and while it’s a thorough and positive (if not somewhat delayed) look at our favorite fitness gadget, I have to take issue with Matt Vella’s description of people who choose to use it with non-Nike+ shoes as “penny pinchers.”

Set your Tivos. The Discovery Channel, a U.S. cable television network, has scheduled a program titled “The Inside Story Of The iPod” to air on Wednesday, December 27th at 12:00 noon (et/pt).

When Apple originally released their Reset Utility for the first-generation iPod shuffles a few months ago, it literally brought my shuffle back from the dead. My computers had stopped recognizing the shuffle for more than a few seconds at a time, which meant that I could no longer sync it to my iTunes library or [...]

iPod Shuffle Washed, Lives

You know it’s a slow day in the world of iPod news when the big story that everyone’s linking to is KarmCity’s first person account of running an iPod through the washing machine, and practically killing it… only to have it spring back to life after some quality drying-out time. I guess it’s good to [...]

For those of you who caught wind of the Register’s report yesterday that iTunes music sales were “collapsing,” you may want to pop over to Josh Bernoff’s blog to get a more reality-based version of the story. Bernoff is the source of the Forrester report that sparked this minor panic (shares of Apple stock fell [...]

Macworld announced the winners of their 22nd annual Editors’ Choice Awards yesterday, and the Nike+iPod Sport Kit was among the 29 winners. While that in itself isn’t very surprising, what is surprising is that the Sport Kit was the only iPod-related product to make the list. No shuffle, no nano, not even the toilet paper [...]

The Perfect Thing

Today’s New York Times Book Review features an interesting review of Steven Levy’s new book about the iPod, The Perfect Thing: How the iPod Shuffles Commerce, Culture, and Coolness.

On Friday, November 24th, Apple will be holding a one-day sale on iPods, iPod nanos, the Nike+iPod Sport Kit, and other selected merchandise at their online and retail stores in the U.S. and Canada. The iPod shuffle and (Product)Red iPod nanos are not included in the sale.
