My wife's sensor had the low battery warning message but the sensor was less than a year old. I took it into the local Apple store & the Apple Genius gave me a brand new complete kit to replace it. He mentioned that they don't carry just the sensor in stock & the battery should last 3 years in use. So if your sensor is less than 3 years old, bring it into your local Apple to get a replacement.

Does anyone know how much time is left on the Nike+ sensor once the low sensor battery warning comes on?

Also, has anyone seen the sensor (only) at an Apple store (physical store)? I know they have it online but with shipping it's almost as much as the complete kit.
