Merlin Mann Gets Into The Shoe Hacking Spirit

Merlin Mann, of 43Folders fame, has posted his Nike+iPod shoe hack to his Flickr photostream.
Merlin gets an “A” for effort, though I’m a little concerned that the plastic-bag-under-the-laces method wont hold the sensor in place over the course of a long run without the help of some velcro or other fastening method. Or perhaps all that extra plastic tucked under the laces really will keep it secure. (It’s questions like these that keep the world of shoe hacking so exciting.)
Anyway, it’s great to see a high-profile blogger embracing the Nike+iPod technology. With any luck, it will inspire others, who may not keep up with all of the new fitness gadgets, to add some running or walking to their daily routine.
